My golden B-day is approaching and I need help!

Hi Chowhounders!

I am turning 27 on April 27th. I keep getting told it is my "golden birthday" so I feel especially pressured to pick a fun place to celebrate with my friends.

I live in Huntington Beach, and since I usually spend my weekends in Santa Monica, I don't know of any REALLY good food in Orange County (we just suffer in comparison to LA).

Last year I went to the Crow Bar, and really liked it and the year before I went to Habana's (so ideally I'd like something "similar" to those places. Like a young, hip, good food place, that won't cost more than 25-30$ per person for dinner (alcohol cost excluded).

I am open to all food types.

Please, please, please help!

Not sure if this is nice enough but beachwood bbq in seal, is very hip, and has great food.

For OC, you might consider Shin Sen Gumi Robata-Yakitori on Brookhurst. (Note: They have 2 restaurants connected - it's *not* the Ramen Noodle side, it's the other one next to Corner Bakery's entrance :). Here's a Chowhound thread with some pics and thoughts:
