Spur Gastropub - Seattle
Hounds,
As I mentioned in a few other posts, I made my maiden voyage to Spur last night for happy hour and enjoyed myself immensely. Food was excellent, as I tried all three happy hour appetizers, Red Potatoes, Celeriac Soup and a Mizuna salad. With a smooth Georgetown Porter to go with it and everything priced at $3 bucks, I had a great $12 mini meal.
I can't wait to go back and try the full menu.

I was actually very dissappointed in Spur. I had heard such good things about it. I wonder if it's because I didn't go for HH? I was a little surprised at how much my bill came to, considering I didn't leave stuffed!
Regarding the food, all the descriptions sounded fantastic but didn't live up to them. We did try the bison burger and I thought it too be WAY oversmoked. It was like eating a bbq. My sister couldn't finish her half. Cheese plate was also sad - 3 tiny wedges, no variety (all 3 hard cheeses).
Service and drinks were good though.

Our burger of the month group just went there last night. I've been many times before but this is the first time I tried their bison burger - it is fantastic - it rivals Quinn's and Palace Kitchen for the best burger in the city.
They also have a baby artichoke salad now - also fantastic.
