Lunch reccos - Stamford and beyond

Looking for a nice lunch spot with a nice variety on the menu, as there will be several people with different tastes. My group and I will be heading out from North Stamford and are not looking to head downtown. Heard a lot about some place in New Canaan on this board but haven't tried any of them. Not looking to spend a fortune but price point isn't my number one deciding factor. Thanks for your help!

What about Le Pain Quotidien? Plenty of room for a group & looks like they have a nice light lunch menu. Have heard very positive things about their tartines.

    Their brownies are excellent.

Baked goods are very good and brownies are excellent. jfood understands the cooked food is actually made in NYC and shipped out here. No confirmationof this just a data point.

BTW - the baked goods sold out by 430PM two saturdays ago. Others agree.

Your best bet in NC is Sole. A lot of luncheoners are there and they have a great $12.95 lunch special as long as everyone is on the same page.

If you would like Asian then Sushi 25 a little downthe blockis a good choice or go around the corner the Ching's Table.

For burgers you may want Gates, but the food is not onpar with the other three. If youare looking for a burger bar, then try Cherry Street East.
