        <content>I was very impressed by the 4th Street Fountain in Elsberry.

It is a carefully restored soda fountain on Broadway - Broadway is perpendicular to Missouri Route 79 along the Mississippi.  The soda fountain faces a park.  The interior is cheerful.  They serve ice cream from Serendipity in Webster Groves.

But the most impressive thing about the 4th Street Fountain is that they serve egg cremes.  As a transplanted New Yorker, I was thrilled.  I even forgave them the fact that they use a recipe from New Jersey...
