Hello everyone,
I am looking for a nice place (hopefully with a view) to take my mother out for mother's day. I know I am kind of early but I am really excited as she lives overseas and this is first time in 10 years, I get to celebrate mother's day with her. We live in Southern Westchester and would like to go to a local place that is known for good food and hopefully has great views. The only catch is that she is vegetarian and we would need a place that has some veggie option. I also have a 2 year old and we would need a place that does not frown upon bringing young children to their establishment.
Thank you in advance!

No view but we really enjoy the lunch buffet at Spice Village an Indian restaurant in Tuckahoe. I suggest it because the food is good and they have a good vegetarian selection both on their lunch buffet and regular menu. They are also very tolerant of kids.

I have heard that Lake Isle country club in Eastchester (?) does a mother's day buffet and would assume they have vegetarian selections as long as she eats eggs or dairy, but having never eaten there don't know about the food or view although it is on a golf course.

In terms of views you could search the board for discussion of restaurants with views, possible located in dobbs ferry or tarrytown.

You could also look through the fairly extensive ads in Thursday's Journal News and then ask for opinions here on specific restaurants.
