i know your post is out dated BUT ill give it a shot. THE BEST BREAKFAST I HAVE EVER HAD and Ive lived in Utah since 76 IS in HEBER!!!!!!!!! Go around the lake to Heber from Provo or take park city way to Heber when you get to town go to the HUB! HUB! expect a small wait in line as it is well worth it. Order the Ham and egg hash browns platter with all the goodies and coffee. You will not be disappointed....... I hop suks not even on the menu. They wish they had the HUBs biz.
For small town UT or any where else. this is the best i know of. iam getting the hungry s just thinking about it.
A 10++++++ 10 stars++++++++++++

Finn's, on 11th east just north of 17th south in Salt Lake is great. Lamb's Grill on Main Street, Salt Lake City has been serving really good breakfast since 1919. (I can vouch for the last 30 years)
I don't know where the link to the Main Street cafe came from.-----

Have you tried Callies Cafe on State Street in Orem? It is a whole lot closer than Blue Plate or Ruth's Diner (though I do love both of these places) and it is darn tasty and cheap. They have some of the best pancakes I had in this state and the place is awesome. Breakfast is served all day and they are open late on the weekends. Also, if you show up in the evenings on the weekends they country karaoke and some very good singers. The place is just classic!

I second Callie's. My aunt took us there a few years ago and it's really impressive both in quantity and quality. It's located in the old Golden Corral building on state. Also, one man band does a pretty good job with breakfast items and its a very casual place. If you want a place that is a little more upscale try Eggs in the City. They are in south salt lake but everything is from scratch and beautifully presented.

Ruth's Diner is the legendary breakfast spot in Salt Lake, serving award winning breakfast and amazing mile high biscuits. You won't be disappointed there.
A few other favorites of mine: Eggs in the City and Tulie Bakery

If you are looking for the diner food kind of like Waffle House, then the Over the Counter is close to it. No waffles or grits, but good basic eggs, hashbrowns and meats. It's up in SLC, you'll have to drive. Closer would be Chick's in Heber City. An establishment that's been in Heber forever. Nothing to crow about, but again, basic breakfasts.

There are numerous noteworthy breakfast spots, though most are quite pricey and perhaps too over-the-top for a morning meal. However, if brunch is your thing, the Deer Valley Sunday brunch, Atrium (at Snowbird) Sunday brunch, and Little and Grand America brunches are copious and delicious. Bambara in the Hotel Monaco also serves a lovely a la carte brunch on Sundays. However, for a more down-to-earth, but just as marvelous breakfast, give the Left Fork Diner in South Salt Lake a try. They're in a nondescript building in an industrial area (about 300 West on 3900 South), but they've got some terrific breakfast fare. The sausage, eggs, and pancakes are all well above average and should you have any room for dessert, an impressive array of homemade pies.
