Mexican - apartment party in EV

chundi Apr 13, 2009 07:06 AM

Hi - looking for a mexican restaurant that will either deliver or prepare for pick up for a party of about 20 people. I am in the EV. Thinking maryann, el maguey, downtown bakery? I haven't called around yet, I wanted to see if anyone had any similar experiences that they could share.

What kind of food items are you thinking of serving? Thanks...Sounds like a great time!

Don't know about the catering but Downtown Bakery has excellent food and generous portions at very reasonable prices. It's a go to fav for our family for many years. Nice people too!

i'm thinking trays of food, maybe make your own fajita, or maybe premade tacos / burritos, etc. Or trays of more authetic food. I'm pretty much open as long as it is mexican.

Wow, sounds great...I'm jealous! I've worked with the following restaurants for small functions (they delivered and I set up):
          Mama Mexico
          Los Dados

          Other ideas:
          Pinche Taqueria
          Tortilla Flats
          Hecho en Dumbo

La Palapa, Los Dos Molinos, Mexicana Mama, Blockheads or San Loco.
My office has actually had Chipotle catered for lunches and it was tasty.

Mercadito and La Palapa. Have ordered in to feed 10 people and been happy with both.

Mercadito is amazing! Get any of the guacs; you won't be disappointed.

Oh Mercadito sounds like a nice idea. I would try Mole if they are able.
