I am celebrating my 25th Birthday in June and am looking for a restaurant (no location preference) that has a private garden, or nice room to hold about 20-25 people. Can be for brunch, or cocktail/dinner party. Would like to keep it about 50 a person including alcohol or less!

  1. Look into the park on the west side highway. basically, its an atrium room that looks like you are outside.

Do they have a big enough space to hold 20-25 people privately?
I've been to Frank's and I know it is TINY

There's a big garden in the back. Lil Frankie's and Frank are two different restaurants.

I know this..same owners but was asking if they would do any type of private party in the garden...they don't mention anything on their website...also, prefer somewhere that is not cash only.
            Thanks!

yeah, I have the same question. My recollection re L'il Frankie's is that the garden is an enclosed space and very narrow.

Ive been to a party at Frank's on the West Side Highway and it was nice...Probably 50/75 of us.

Which Frank's is that? Do you have a link? I am only familiar with the one in the East Village

        2. Revel (you could do lite bites and drinks)
230 Fifth (again, you could do lite bites...decent food menu and amazing space)

Thanks! Did my bday last year at 230 Fifth, but Revel looks very nice...going to look into that

I had my bday at Revel and we all had a great time. Service was spot-on. Ask for Sarah, the event coordinator.

Thanks.....if you don't mind me asking, what were the prices like? Can you choose from different menu options, open bar packages etc?

                1. re: mbs

Sure. Entrees are on the expensive side, that's why I suggest doing heavy hors d'oeuvres. They are very flexible and will gladly work with you. I was pleasantly surprised by how great the service was, after I dealt with so many nasty event planners at other venues. Def a breath of fresh air.

          2. Three to check out: Terrace in the Sky on the roof of a Columbia U. building; great views, and they will work with you on the offerings/budget. www.terraceinthesky.com. And, New Leaf Cafe up in Ft. Tryon Park. www.nyrp.org. Have hosted smaller parties out on the patio, and, again, awesome views. Both have v decent food, drinks, and service. I have never hosted a party at the Boathouse in Central Park. Food OK, but just; brunch is probably best. View hard to beat. www.thecentralparkboathouse.com
