Rice & Beans Cafe (KCK)

We had lunch for the second time at this friendly little Cuban place in KCK and were not disappointed.
The pork was very flavorful and fell apart with a fork. Spouse's Cuban sandwich with ham & pork was perfect. Sadly, the arepa's cook had departed for the day, but from our first experience these meat and veggie-filled corn pastries are worth the trip.
The restaurant is easy to miss, look carefully. It's on the south side of Central Ave, just west of 7th, across from the bank.

  1. Nice. I'll have to check it out.

    1. I got by there for the first time since this latest name change a couple of weeks ago. Took along a friend, who isn't a very adventurous eater, but she was happy there as well.

I'm afraid the new sign will make people think it is mostly a coffee shop. http://www.kansastravel.org/kansascit...
