Hi all,

Anyone know what happened to the Breakstone's kosher for Passover cottage cheese this year? Is it missing everywhere or only where I am in Chicago? Anyone know why? I find this mysterious as the sour cream is still available..

I live by Friendship Pot Style 2% cottage cheese. Great tasting and very low carbs at only 3 grams per serving. Always looking for them on sale since I usually buy then at 4-6 at a time. When not on sale it goes for around $3.50 when on sale could be gotten for as low as $1.99 but ususally $2.50. I also prefer Friendship sour cream as well. I find the others, Breakstone, Axelrod to be too thick.

Friendship cottage cheese has a different texture than Breakstone's (which I also couldn't find K-for-P, although I have their butter and sour cream). It's drier, thicker, and has a smaller curd.

Friendship's 2% Pot Style has large curds, is very creamy, and best of all, has no added starches or vegetable gums. I'm not necessarily opposed to those ingredients per se, but don't want them in my cottage cheese. Breakstone and Axelrod are both loaded with starches.
Friendship's is the best I've tasted, hands down .
