Bamboo Pavilion - Amazing Food
I neglected to go into this exceptional restaurant due to the other two restaurants that failed before it in the same place. Lucy's, known for its sausage and peppers and is a favorite at every Italian feast opened a restaurant there that failed. There was also a Chinese food/pizzeria there at that same address that failed. So, I was pretty reluctant to go into Bamboo Pavilion. That was a big mistake.
After reading a positive review about the place, we decided to try it. We walked in and sat down to a nice, clean table. The atmosphere was very comfortable, and the service was good. She had the Chengdu Shrimp and I had the Beef with Sichuan Special Sauce, along with fried pork dumplings. The food came pretty quickly.
The food was exceptional. There has not been a very good Chinese restaurant in this area for a very long time until now (except for Trio Village, which sadly, is now gone). We have tried a lot of other restaurants up and down 18th Avenue, and we've been disappointed.
Going to Bamboo Pavilion has restored my faith in good Chinese food once again.
