Fried Okra Venice Whole Foods Chef

There was a chef at the Venice Whole Foods who made the most delicious fried okra. He only made it once or twice a week because he said it was so labor intensive, but it was superb. I guess he's no longer working there and I was wondering if anyone knew if he's working somewhere else. I've asked at WF and no one knows, or at least they're not telling me. I must track down that fried okra!!

  1. I don't know where he would be, but this was one of my favorite (unhealthy, albeit) snacks from NYC (Southern food place there). They dried out the okra to a degree, battered it, fried it and served it with a really spicy pork sausage gravy.
