Watts at Eglington Square?

I was at the square yesterday and was surprised to see this place still around. My mother says its been there for about 50 years so I am a bit curious. I know this is nothing gourmet but sometimes I'm in the mood for some nostalgia.. is this place any good at all? whats the menu like now?

They've been around for quite a bit more than fifty years. I haven't eaten there in several years. As of then (whenever it was), they still had some real food, though hardly anything special.

I recall a hot turkey sandwich with real turkey, real gravy, real mashed potato, and then real coconut cream pie. More or less what they would have served in the early fifties in Scarborough. Real, but not especially wonderful.

I've no idea what changes may have transpired since then. They certainly have some current food cliches on their menu. The food at their mall counter has long been gross.

The food sounds good...tho whenever I'm there the patronage never looks like there's anyone under 50 or who is non-white. I'm curious now and will take a closer look at their menu next time.
