Mexican in Saratoga, NY

Heard that El Mexicano is coming to Saratoga, they have a place in Hudson Falls, has anyone been? It would be great to finally have Authentic Mexican in the area. Until they arrive, what mexican rest. do recommend?

I like El Mariachi -- been to both locations in Albany many times, and find their food very satisfying. They have a third location just south of Saratoga on Route 9.

Gorditas, guac, corn soup, chimichangas. Mmm, good!

Been a number of times; quite good for this area. I've been spoiled by many trips to Arizona to visit family and NYC and Chicago (Frontera, Topolobampo). Like El Loco in Albany. Heard the place in Schuylerville is decent, but haven't been.

I've been to El Loco and it's okay. Like the lively, fun atmosphere. I have not had much luck finding Mexican food in NYC (a few places do make guacamole table side) or the Capital Region that compares to San Diego.

"Okay" is the operative word. I'm sure El Mexicano has to compromise to accommodate to local tastes. While at a Mexican place recently in NYC, which was decent- Toloache www.toloachenyc.com , the manager who was from Mexico City, suggested that if you really wanted good, authentic Mexican in NYC, that we should try: http://www.tulcingorestaurant.com/
