Does anyone know a place that sells almond cream pie? I've looked high and low and come up with nothing. Thanks in advance.

Are you looking for something featuring frangipane?

No - not marzipan, but a cream that is almond flavor with whip cream topping (or meringue).

Most french bakeries make tartes with almond pastry cream. Just ask at a good one for a tarte with it and a meringue topping. Shouldn't be a problem (frangipane isn't marzipan).

I recently had a pie from Lord & Villa bakery in Glendale which was pears in an creamy almond crust. Maybe the cream was almond too. All I know is that it was really good. Not the exact same thing, but hopefully close.
