Any ideas for good food, nice atmosphere

My friend is taking me our for a bday dinner. I am looking for someplace I have never been before. We have been to Blacksalt, Hook, Proof, Rasika, Central and liked all of them. I am a fairly adventurous eater, however, she is not...she prefers seafood and generally lighter food than I do. I am considering The Source. About $100 or slightly above for total dinner. Any thoughts about The Source or elsewhere?

I haven't been to The Source, so I can't say about that. Johnny's comes to mind, though. Maybe Hank's as well. I'm guessing you're just in DC? Going further out could open other potentials.

Thanks, Dennis. I have been to Hanks-I liked it. Actually I am in Bethesda, but just thought there would be more new fun options downtown. By the way, I will check out Johnny's online.

I haven't been to the Source so I can't comment on it (though it is on my list of places to try...)

Based on the places that you've liked I would highly recommend PS7s. Delicious food, great service, and some unique cocktails as well. I think it offers a great mix of traditional and innovative dishes. Probably my favorite at that price range.

I also recently had a delicious meal at Zola - citrus pork belly appetizer and veal with blue cheese infused pearl pasta and roasted butternut squash sauce were both outstanding.

What about Corduroy, they have light food and lots of seafood.

Also Bourbon Steak is supposed to have good seafood, but I haven't been.

        The Source is pretty pricey...
