Help finding the BEST of the best....

I have been given a challenge and I would love my fellow food enthusiasts input!

What is the best of the best? It can be.....

Any type of food (just the best in it's category)
Any price range ( cheap and cheerful to urber extravagant)
Within the 1 hr range from Studio City (give or take...in weekend light traffic)

There ya go. I look forward to the suggestions!

Many thanks...

It's only a starting point. After all, Mariscos Chente wasn't even around when these votes were cast!

No worries. I knew you were kidding. I hate to see great lists like the Ultimate year end voting not get "air time" every now and again and the very, very broad question by the OP seemed like a perfect time to trot it out as a good starting point for them.

And that it most definitely is - Herculean effort by Dr. Maxzook, Ph.D.

          1. While I do love the link Servorg gave you and think that's a great reference, I will add a favorite. Saddle Peak Lodge for market driven food & game. My fave in all of Southern California.
