Kennedy's, Boston

Has anyone eaten at Kennedy's which is across the street from Marliave's? I was in there for the first Wine Crawl in Dec. and recently walked by the place. Thanks.

  1. ate there once, the fish and chips were underwhelming. the fries were soggy, fish was bland, and the coleslaw was definitely not homemade.

    1. My brother performs there quite a bit and he and his wife actually had their baby shower there. The food isn't great (I remember being particularly disappointed in some bangers and mash I had there once) but in some cases adequate pub food. For the shower we had various roll ups, pasta, and salad. The buffalo chicken ones were actually pretty tasty. I must say if you want guys not to balk at the idea of going to a baby shower, have it at a bar!

Bottom line: this is not a chowish destination.

      1. I agree with all of the above. It's OK to grab a few beers and some pubbish food if you aren't expecting anything fantastic. We go there sometimes before concerts at the Orpheum.

        1. Anyone been there for brunch?

          1. Based on the above reviews, why bother?

Good point. Just looking for a little variety in the Sat. breakfast options.

Union Bar & Grill in the S. End has a $9.95 Saturday breakfast option.

Thanks, Kristin. We've been a few times, and really like it.
