Tampa area-ham pies etc...

My mother-in-law is looking to purchase either ham pies, rice pies or ricotta cheese pies. We live in the Tampa area so if anyone knows where these might be purchased she would be eternally greatful. Thanks in advance for your help!

Interesting! I never heard of them before. I looked them up on cooks.com and found that the recipes for the ham pies are Easter specific and contain ingredients similar to those for cheese strata.

My guess is that Castellano and Pizzo, an Italian deli at 4200 Henderson Avenue, just a mile or two from the central business district, would have them or being willing to make them for you. The phone is [phone]. I hope that this helps.

Yes, they are an Italian Easter dinner staple. We did order some of each from New Jersey and usually my mother-in-law usually makes them herself, but we are having a difficult time locating them in the Tampa area.
