Is The Green Goddess open?
I will be visiting New Orleans April 17-20 and am interested in eating at The Green Goddess. The most current information I could find said the restaurant was expected to open April 1. Does anyone have any further info? Is the restaurant open yet? Has anyone been there? My fingers are crossed that I get to eat chef Chris DeBarr's delicious food.

Three of us had lunch there Sat. Crabmeat, cheese on ciabatta: husband loved it. My son and I thought it was ok. Lentil pancake w/ tamarind sauce: different flavors that again, my husband liked and my son and I did not. Shrimp and grit cake: nothing unusual here. My son had the crawfish cakes which we all thought were "ok". We tried the rice pudding with mango sauce. Again, another "ok". We enjoyed the creativity of the dishes and had a fun lunch trying a little something different . Not sure I'll go back anytime soon. We will however return to Madrid. We had dinner there Sat. evening and it was outstanding. I'll start a new thread ..

We went this past Sunday night. Really a lot of flavors that I have never had before.
Last weekend was a soft opening, but they should be up and running in about a week.
