about parchment paper

I'm trying to help from someone here so I can contact the manufacturer of a brand of unbleached parchment paper. I want to find out what stores in the Boston area carry this paper.

This parchment paper is unbleached, and comes on a roll in a very ordinary green and brown cardboard box, typical of the boxes used for waxed paper, alum. foil, etc. .

Here in the Boston area, all the stores now carry more expensive brands. Not only are these brands more expensive, they're not nearly as good as the plain old ordinary stuff.

Tnx in advance to anyone who can help.

I know this is a late reply, but I purchased unbleached parchment in a package similar to what you are describing at my local Christmas Tree Shop a few weeks back. 70 sq foot roll was $3.99.

      Walmart carries parchment paper.

I double checked. My Stop and Shop (N. Quincy) has it in the "natural foods" aisle.

        Is it this kind? http://www.eco-local.org/img-00000516...

I buy it at Stop and Shop. But for whatever reason it's not with the other PP and foil and plastic wrap. It's somewhere else in the store. I am pretty sure with the "natural" "organic" products.

I've also seen it at Roche Bros.

I get mine at the world market, do they have those in your area? Many used to be called Cost-plus Imports. They've been around since the 60s but now a new name and a new market push

Mine is called "Beyond Gourmet Unbleached Parchment Paper." Imported by A.V. Olsson Trading Company, Stamford CT 06902. It's from Sweden. You can contact them at the website avolsson.com or their phone number is (203) 969-2090.

I think I have the same stuff. Doesn't appear to have a name. "environment friendly products-if you care" Product of Finland.
www.ifyoucare.com maybe that will help. adam

I get the If You Care brand from amazon.com. I think you get 4 rolls per box, so it's only useful if you will use that much (we use it all the time; it can even be reused depending on what you're doing with it).

I'm in Boston, and I don't usually see it in the grocery stores we frequent.

There is a Boston area board here. You could try there.
