Wilmington, NC brunch?

Taking my BF to NC to meet the parents. Trip is Mother's Day weekend so we want to have a nice brunch. Any recs?

How is Causeway Cafe? Chris' Cosmic Kitchen? Not really meet the parents spots I suppose but is the food good?

Causeway Cafe is really good, but they do not take reservations or call ahead seating, and the wait can be an hour on the weekends. It's pretty informal. Not sure if that's a good thing for you or not.

What about Kefi? Or Sweet and Savory would be really good (that might be your best bet). They were a bakery, and they added a restaurant. Everything I've had there has been fabulous. Just over the bridge from Wrightsville.

Does Catch do a brunch?

Per their website, the downtown location is only open for dinner on Saturday, and are closed on Sunday. They are open for lunch, M-F. They are opening a new location on Market Street "soon" that will be open on Saturday for lunch, according to the website.

EAST - At Blockade Runner does not have the big superb Sunday Brunch buffet they did last year, now more a normal breakfst hotel place. Great location, just lost my favorite buffet on Sundays! i did just this past Sunday, go to Sunday Buffet Brunch at Boca Bay, and it was quite pleasant, about $15 each. Parking tough later you arrive, opens at nine a.m., but they have valet parking as well.
