Crispo, family style.

Hello all. Thanks to your suggestions I've chosen Crispo for a party (I do know there are mixed feelings about the food). I may have to do family style due to the size of the party. I would choose three appetizers (from either the antipasti or affetatti sections) and three entrees (from either the pasta or secondi sections. What do you suggest, keeping in mind I have a few veggies and a few non-pork eaters. What should I stay away from? Thanks.

The menu is not always the same, but here are my favorites that are usually available:

    mozzarella with roasted peppers
    stuffed zucchini blossoms
    sausage stuffed sage leaves
    fried mozzarella

    spaghetti with meat balls
    spaghetti carbonara
    bucatini amatriciana
    veal saltimbocca
    veal breast parmigian
    crisp chicken
    duck
porchetta (not for your non-pork eaters but it's soooo good)

Fish selections vary but are always a solid choice.

I haven't tried the gnocchi since they changed it, but I used to love it when it was made with duck. Now it may be good for the vegetarians.

I'm not much help for the vegetarians but:

Definitely the carbonara, its the best I've ever had anywhere and the one I imitate when I cook it at home.

        Bone Marrow "Arrosto Origanato"

Caramelized Cauliflower pine nuts & currants WITH the prosciutto over top (they do it both ways...so maybe omit the proscuitto for the non pork eaters / vegetarians)

        Trofie al Prosciutto "San Daniele"
