We are looking for an incredible meal...any suggestions??

We are looking for a restaurant with excellent food, and the only requirement is that it cannot be sushi/Japanese.

We want something really delicious and it can be in any area of Manhattan.

Thanks so much!

We're thinking something on the order of Park Avenue Spring, Gotham, Cru...
But would love some fresh ideas.

Forget Park Avenue SummerFallWinterSpring. Not that the food is bad. Far from it. But incredible! Not a chance! And service can be iffy.

My picks: Eleven Madison Park, Veritas, and Jean Georges.

We had a great experience at The Modern Dining Room and Gorden Ramsey. Let me add Robuchon to the list . . .

Been to The Modern, but will look into Robuchon.

Any other recommendations would be appreciated. :-)

            Jean George, Daniel, Picholine, EMP?
All fantastic restaurants with good wine programs, and excellent service.

I second Gordon Ramsay. I don't think it gets enough love on this board. It's amazing.

malibu, we went to GR for dinner in the dining room recently. It was very good. We were a little rushed at the beginning but when my friend said "please slow it down a bit" pacing was fine. Loved the dessert cart. My friend preferred it over Robuchon.

Cru was quite good but didn't compare with my meals at Robuchon or Falai . . .
