Looking for decent wings in this general area...willing to go to Malden as well. Don't want breaded wings...just traditional and very hot.

Thanks

I haven't had them myself, being vegetarian, but friends of mine have raved about Wings Over Somerville. Their wings are available breaded or traditional.

I too am a fan of Wings Over Somerville--it is definitely the best delivery you will get in this area. They have a lot of sauce choices. I get the hotter buffalo versions, which have a nice, dull heat. I like Texas Petey wings; these are not them. But still, they are a good wing.

Thanks for the suggestions...ended up at Wings Over Somerville and both of us thought the wings were above average at the least. Tried mine with the level 4 hot sauce. It was hot but not super hot...will try the level 5 next time. Fries were ok but didn't travel well in those containers.

That thread is mostly about Boston and suburbs further out...but the advice in the first post to go to Cambridge Common is spot on. Great wings there, and very traditional (i.e. medium-sized wings with proper, not overly cayenne-y Buffalo sauce). Other than that, it's slim pickings in this neck of the woods...the wings at Charlie's Kitchen in Harvard Square are OK in a pinch too.
