Staying at the Gansevoort and wondering if there are any gourmet food shops in the area?

We have whole foods and epicure which are both cab rides away from you. Epicure is between lincoln and 17th on alton, whole foods is on 10th and alton.

Haven't been to Epicure for 3 or 4 years....and I need to stop in.....as it's awesome....Incredible deli and hot foods.....Amazing meats....All kinds of courmet goodies.....Amazing fruit baskets.....Pretty great place.....A Miami Beach landmark business.....Years ago I used to supply them with flowers....and their buyer used to yell at me....."If they ain't good, I'm sending them back in a cab and you're payin' for it".....and then slammed the phone down in my face......And I believed him and sent over my best........

If it's closer for you they now have another location in Sunny Isles (where Rascal House used to be).

Thanks, Frod! I'm in the Doral area 4 and 5 days per week....then I mosey back to Ft. Pierce on weekends.....That's how I get to try out and enjoy all the joints between here and there....and there and here!!......Epicure is amazing......When I was a kid....and I didn't know our family didn't have money....Ol' Pops would load us up and take day trips all over the place....and we'd leave Homestead.....mosey up to the Beach....and we'd stop in at Epicure....shop a bit...eat a bit....and then mosey on back to HomeFred......or DeadStead as we called it back then.....Doze were da daze.....But Looking back....Miami Beach was kind of creepy then....early to late 70s.....
