Just below average all away around.

Overpriced and mediocre since the dawn of man. You'll certainly get the old-school vibe if that appeals to you. I agree with bllrdfarm to one extent-- it's not worth going out of your way to visit.

The Buggy Whip is a fine local restaurant (I live within walking distance) but it is not really (IMO) a destination restaurant. I enjoy eating there - But keep in mind that when I go I am not expecting to get a Spago or similar experience. I find the older looking, darker, red booth environment comfortable and generally have a relaxing dinner. (And I like the green goddess dressing).

We were there late last year and I had the prime rib. Pretty mediocre all the way around. Green Goddess dressing didn't live up to the nostalgia of the idea of having it and the atmosphere seemed a bit dismal. There was really nothing to make me want to go back. If you do end up going I'll be interested in reading your review.
