Hello, my husband and I are finishing our year long journey in BC and want to eat well at the end. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for the Sunshine Coast anywhere from Gibsons to Sechelt?
thanks in advance!!!

ooh I love going to the Sunshine Coast. In Gibson, head over to Molly's Reach for their burgers and seafood chowder. It's casual but the food is really good, best burger I've ever had. It's not cheap but just the experience of it all makes it quite an interesting visit. Davis Bay has a fish & chips place, Beach Buoy. You can't miss when you drive by the area.

I don't know if it's still there but I think it's called Blue Heron, it's the restaurant at one of the inns by Sechelt.

Bonnie Brook, it's not under new management so I don't know how good it is not. Previous owner/chef was from Le Crocodile. The current menu does look interesting.

A good link is www.bigpacific.com for your reference. When we visit we normally make half our meals there, lots of markets and seafood vendors and eat out half.

Please don't go to the thai restaurant. We made a mistake of going there, expensive and poorly executed.

SMitty's Oyster Bar is great, Haus Uropa for Euro food, Sita's Spag Shack for casual Italian, all in Gibson's. For good pub food in Sechelt the Lighthouse is great. Rockwater Secret Cove Resort for more upscale (in Secret Cove) and comfy rooms and fantastic views.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head....
