I need a rec for a place to pick up some cupcakes downtown. TIA.

Maybe Banquette? Not cupcakes, but Urth has some incredible little cakes. If you can venture just outside Downtown, I'd highly recommend Delilah's in Echo Park.

Thank you, Suebee. Next time I will try your picks, but in this instance by the time you had posted I had already been to Phoenix Bakery for some OK stuff. Surely, downtown has better cupcakes and you seem to have a line on where.

Banquette is an interesting pick, but maybe I should have been brave enough to get some bacon donuts at its sister restaurant, Nickel Diner.
