My mom will be visiting this weekend and we'll be going to the Brooklyn museum. I wanted to explore Park Slope with her and eat somewhere fabulous. The night before we'll be eating at Le Bernadin, and then on Sunday at the Modern. I'd like to take her somewhere in a charming location, has a comfortable, setting not too loud and not terribly expensive. She loves anything French/Italian/Nouveau American. If anyone could recommend a restaurant that specializes in seasonal, farm-fresh ingredients, that would be great. I'm trying to get her to eat healthy.

Thanks!

I'd suggest Applewood--it meets all your requirements! Everything is seasonal and farm-fresh and it is charming, comfortable, and welcoming.

If it's Saturday afternoon those places will be serving brunch, keep in mind. (Maybe Al di La gives you the option, I'm not sure). Rose Water is another spot that fits the description & it's closer to the Museum - they'd be serving brunch also.
