Tapas + Wine + Atmosphere

I travel to NYC frequently on business and have eaten at some fabulous places (Nobu, Gramercy Tavern, Daniel, etc. etc.) they are all fantastic, but you know... I also love Sushi Samba 7 for a fun night out because they seem to nail the right mix of food, drinks & atmosphere.

At any rate, I’ll be staying down in SoHo later this week & I'm craving Tapas! So looking for some recommendations where the food, the wine, the atmosphere all comes together. Live music would be a fantastic bonus. Any suggestions?

  1. Boqueria -- the new one in Soho -- has tapas and wine and sleek atmosphere. No live music however.

Also try Son Cubano in Meatpacking
Pipa in Flatiron for tapas in a lovely setting of chandeliers and velvet chairs
Spice Market for asian street style food (which is small portioned like tapas)
Bacaro on LES for Venetian tapas.
