Passover Sweets

I'm charged with bringing something to Passover dinner, and was hoping to find some delish macaroons, or something along those lines. Has anyone seen any good Passover sweets out there? Does City Bakery or anywhere at that level bake things for the holiday? Downtown preferred, but I'll travel uptown if it's worth it.

Thanks.

You can get Matzel Toff (CARAMEL and chocolate coated matzoh) at Zabar's or Russ & Daughters. Zabar's has a good selection of Shick cakes and cookies.

If your hosts are seriously kosher for passover, nothing from City Bakery or other wonderful bakeries is likely to be acceptable. You'd need something packaged that is marked kosher for passover.

Some people, though, aren't so strict.

Payard used to carry a line of packaged lemon cakes and chocolates that had the imprimature of the chief rabbi of Paris. Sadly, they haven't had them for the past couple of years.
