Foodie roadtrip from Montreal

I'm taking a couple of weeks off in May or June. I've decided to take a roadtrip and taste, eat and drink my way with a yet to be name companion.
So I would appreciate any and all suggestions for destinations either east of Montreal or south. The only requirement is that It is in reasonable driving distance for a 2 week roadtrip and yummy!

    Hmm... no destination set yet. You could follow Taste of the Nation and see where they go. May doesn't seem too interesting, but I thought these events stood out: June 6 Annual Chowder cook-off in Rhode Island; June 13 - 14 Saint Joseph Italian Festival in Virginia; June 20 Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival in Maryland; June 20 - 21 Opa Big "Fat" Greek Festival in New Jersey.
