Easter Brunch near Burlington, VT

Looking for suggestions for Easter Brunch in or near Burlington, VT. In the past we've always gone to the brunch buffet at Inn at Essex ..... waited until now this year to try and make reservation for next Sunday so not sure they will have seats still available (going to call Monday AM); also always enjoy trying something new.

"In or near" means reasonable driving distance, we'll have our car....maybe a radius including Waterbury or even over towards Montpelier if it's really good & worth the drive.

I guess buffet is preferable, since everyone can pick & choose their favorites, but regular sit-down alacarte would be OK too.

Will eagerly watch here for replies. Thanks !

  1. The Kitchen Table (Richmond, exit 11 on I89) is hosting an Easter brunch. Their food is local, fresh, and spectacular. The KT is by far the best restaurant within a 15 mile radius of Burlington. Hen of the Wood in Waterbury is also fantastic.

KT doesn't offer a buffet (thank goodness!) but they have created a special and varied menu with everything from eggs benedict to cornmeal pancakes to a lamb burger. They sent out an email with the menu indicating that they are accepting reservations from 10-2.

    1. We're heading to the Starry Night Cafe in Ferrisburg - about 20 min south of Burlington - for brunch tomorrow. I'm not sure what's on the menu, but in past years it's been classy, eclectic and fun... think marscapone french toast and fiddlehead fritattas. It's chef-owned and focused on local food; a little out of the way but very scenic with the pond and covered bridge nearly.

Also, I hear Mary's at the Inn at Baldwin Creek in Bristol is doing brunch - though that's definitely further from Burl.
