Dim sum for a large party - chinatown, NYC?
I need help. I'm trying to find a place for dim sum where I can make a reservation for about 20 people on a Sunday. I thought I might go to Golden Unicorn, but I'm really not crazy about the food there. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

When I participated in Calvin Trillin's "Come Hungry" walking tour several years ago, we ended up at 88 Palace, where they had reserved several large tables for our group of about 20-30.

For such a large party, Golden Unicorn might be your best bet, particularly on a Sunday...

The reservation on a Sunday part is going to severely limit your choices. Sunday morning and afternoon is definitely the busiest time of the week for dim sum, and most restaurants have people waiting for tables, so most places won't take reservations. I'm guessing Red Egg on Centre St. might be your answer, since their dim sum is good and they take reservations. However they're clearly more expensive than the other dim sum places in Chinatown.
