I went on Friday night. And, as usual, had a wonderful time. The menu doesn't change very often from what I've seen but they do what they do well. We probably go to eat four or five times a year. The food is always tasty. The service is very personal (they always remember what we drank the last time we were in). The wine list is approachable but extensive. And we always walk out of there satisfied, happy, and without doing too much damage to our wallets.

I've been twice in 2009 and really enjoyed it. I had also gone in 2007 and 2008, and I don't notice any difference in quality. The horse tartare is my favourite item on the menu, but I've had other things that I have enjoyed too. For the price ($8 aps, $16 mains), I think it is really good.

Ate at Batiflole twice in 2008. The last one was a total gastronomic disaster with horrific food. Overcooked calves liver on a plate of watery gravy. A pork stew that was floating with grease and oversalted! Should have gone to Pastis instead. The latter, never once let me down!

We went to Mogette a few months ago and it was just okay for me. But one of our foursome had to send back her veal stew. It was extremely dry and overdone. The restaurant itself is lovely but the food - not so much. I would much rather give my $$ to Pastis which is the same price range but way better.
In fact not to change the subject but, we were at Pastis last night and it was packed. You would never think that people are cutting back on their dining out from the crowd George had last night.
