Popeyes Fried Chicken - Change of Recipe?
I have been to the renovated Popeyes on Yonge near Steeles twice since they reopened.
There seems to be a lot less breading on the spicy chicken.
It is also a lot less spicy.
Has anyone else made the same observation either at this or another Popeyes?
Theoretically, each Popeye's is supposed to be buying all spice mixes from Al Copeland's spice company in New Orleans, if the chicken doesn't seem as spicy it most be a specific locations fault (problem), however you want to look at it. I just had some last Thursday in NJ and it was as spicy as always.
Must just be your location -- chicken in Wichita's spicy, well-breaded, and if anything, more moist than it used to be.
