Favorite Goat Recipes

I recently discovered goat meat and would love some ideas for cooking it...

  1. Nice young cabrito, cut up in 3-4'' peices, bone in. Rub with olive oil, salt, pepper & garlic. Cook over medium mesquite coals. serve with fresh tortillas and roasted, peeled green chilies & cebollitas ( mexican green onions). Pot of ranchero beans on the side if you want. MMM MMM MMM!

    I do this with young doe antelope during hunting season, same result.

    1. What cut do you have?

      1. I really like making a caribbean style curry. Rub the goat pieces with oil, chopped habanero, lime juice, scallion, S&P, curry, and all-spice. Marinate awhile or overnite. Brown in oil, add chopped onion, saute a bit. Add broth or water and simmer. Add chopped potato. Cook until it starts to thicken.
