Tips for Dining, Eating and Food Shopping in the New England
Start New ThreadBesides my mother, who else in the vicinity makes a great ham pie for Easter? I love tasting different styles that all Italians make. My friend's mom from Naples made a great one with lots of pepper in the crust, etc. Any thoughts?

Don't get me wrong, but you would figure that yeah everyone uses their cheese to make it at home and it would seem logical that coming from them it would be phenom. I just never had any luck with foods made there.

I had never had it from Liuzzi's but had seen them, So thanks for the feedback. The few times I had prepared food from R&C it was pretty good, as is Nica's

Saw a nice looking one being sold by the slice at La Rosticceria in Guilford. Didn't see whole ones but they would probably do one up for you.

Went this afternoon...no ham pie slices for sale. Plenty of desserts though. Beautiful cupcakes and cookies....I had a carrot cake cupcake..HUGE! very good. Sugar cookie was decadent also. Panini was ok. Didn't sound like she was too into taking another order for ham pie. Thank goodness for mom!

Stopped by Zuppardi's for pizza last night.. The pizza rustica looked fantastic. It was very heavy with three or four meats and 3 cheeses. I thought the price was a bit steep at $25 bucks but I ordered one. I am sure it will be great. Everything I have ever eaten from there has been excellent.
