My wife and I are looking at La Fregate in the 7th for dinner. Any comments would be appreciated.

I have never eaten there but have stopped a few times for a drink.

The location is OK and it faces over the river towards the western corner of The Louvre, so a reasonable view. However, Quai Voltaire is a busy road that runs between the restaurant and the river - it has approx four lanes of traffic and is a main east to west artery through the centre of Paris - so is usually busy.

The food is traditional, although I don't believe it is especially outstanding it looks OK.

thanks phil, I was thinking maybe a drink or something small to eat since we will be close to the Musee dOrsay around lunch time anyway. any lunch spots close to there you would recommend instead.(or by the Louvre)? thanks
