Faves of college students in San Antonio

I graduated from Trinity University in S.A. many moons ago and now I'm bringing my daughter there in a week to check it out as a potential college for her. Back in my day you could find me and my friends at Mi Tierra's, Chris Madrid's, Hipp's Bubble Room, Mama's, Earl Abel's, Bombay Bicycle Club, and the Crystal Pistol, to name a few places I can still remember after all these years. I want to give my daughter a taste of San Antonio she'd be likely to experience it as a student—any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks guys. Taco Taco is on my list. So sad about Earl Abel's demise, isn't it? Where do people go now for a late-night sweet attack?

As a college student, who just visited her best friend at Trinity University, I would recommend Taco Taco Cafe. On a Saturday or Sunday morning, you can always find Trinity students eating there. They have fresh, inexpensive and delicious Mexican food and their tortillas are made to order. And a bonus, they were featured on the food network for being Bon Appetit's pick for best taco restaurant in America!

Alas, Earl Abel's is gone. There will soon be hi-rise condos where it was.

I think Trinity students still go to Chris Madrid's...not sure about the other places now.
