Cough, Cough - Langer's Chicken Soup

Suebee Apr 3, 2009 11:06 AM

The three of us are finally coming out of an epic cold that lasted way too long. I'd say the one glimmer of light came in the form of Langer's chicken soup, picked up curbside. The reusable Ball jar was a surprise and so eco-friendly. The chicken soup was tasty and the matzoh balls were a nice sinker/floater hybrid, though I would have loved some bagel chips.

For all of the well-deserved praise that is sung for the pastrami, the chicken soup and matzoh balls are criminally underrated here. I've found the broth to be the most intensely "chicken-y" of all of the local major delis. The matzoh balls do strike the proper balance of light and fluffiness v. density.

I feel your cold. We dealt with the same cold this week, (ours was saved by Jerry's Famous Deli Matzoh Ball soup.) Langer's is probably better, but JFD did have the bagel chips. Good Stuff!
