Uni lovers near King and Spadina

Domestic Uni season is coming to a close soon. The owner/chef at Toshi Sushi on King st. said he would try to get some Uni with no preservatives this week. Just spoke to him and he said he will have it in tonight(Wednesday). If anybody else goes, I'd like to know what you think. Mmmm

I've had some amazing uni at Fune on simcoe, but it was delivered that day so I guess I was lucky... fyi, avoid the uni at Sushi Time on Queen.. it's from China, and its barely passable..

I finally got the chance to go tonight. It was good, no bitter taste and sweet.

i went as well and saw there was a milky substance i had never seen on uni before. Is that normal? taste was good. Creamy and sweet but not the best tasting i ever had. I think that was in BC when it was a bit of a revelation

I'm assuming since you said domestic this will be eith BC or east coast uni? I would love to try some east coast uni as i don't think i've ever had any.
