Restaurant suggestions and opinions for visit to NYC
I'll be visiting from Toronto in May and would appreciate some restaurant ideas and opinions. I try to come to NY once a year to shop and eat. Last year, we ate at Per Se, Bar Boulud, Blaue Gans and Guantanamera. The year before I believe I tried Bouley, Gilt and I can't remember the others.
This year I think I'd like to try WD-50 and Fatty Crab. Any thoughts? And some other ideas would be welcome. Any cuisine, any price range is ok - the most important thing is the food. I don't want to go to places that are just "in" or "hot" - the food's got to be amazing.
I was thinking of trying Shang since Toronto foodies love Susur but the reviews I've seen are mixed. It is a shame because if you've had the opportunity to eat at Susur, you'd know his talent can not be denied. But I digress.
