"Off The Strip" - Las Vegas
Yes, that is the name of the restaurant; in the Southern Highlands area (somewhat near South Point), and it is an absolute gem, in an otherwise nondescript Smith's-anchored shopping center. Seven of us ate there last night; everything we had was fresh, flavorful, nicely prepared and sauced, and well-presented. We put ourselves at the whim of the owner, and we were served dish after dish family-style (not exactly a "tasting" menu, as everything we had was either on the regular menu or one of the daily specials). Starters included calamari, baked stuffed mussels, pork roulade, crab cakes; rigatoni in a terrific ragu; salad; proceeding to ribeye (sliced for purposes of sharing), swordfish, and mahi mahi. Terrific service. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the food.
Here is the link - this is "worth the detour", imo.
