24 hour bagels?

perk Apr 2, 2009 07:10 AM

I sometimes come to work really early (around 3 am) and would like to bring fresh bagels to the early morning crew. I'm having trouble finding a place that's open that early. I live in Los Feliz and work in the mid-Wilshire area. Are there any bagel places relatively nearby that are open 24 hours?

Your best bet is probably Cantor's on Fairfax.

I'm sitting here thinking "why didn't I think of that?"
      But obviously, I didn't.
      Glad you did.

Cantor's yes, but those bagels are probably delivered earlier that day (made the night before), so maybe a day old if you get them around 3am?

I am not sure but Brooklyn Bagels on Beverly Blvd., near Rampart, used to have very strange hours, call them. I think they bake 24 hours a day.

Unfortunately, not any more. They are open fairly late, like 11pm or something, on Friday and Saturday - or at least they were up until a few months ago, but even that might have changed. In the late afternoon they now have a bagel happy hour - 2 for 1 - which is a great deal.
