Last night I noticed that Villa Del Sol has closed. I noticed because I walked by there and saw signs posted all over it to go to Coca Rumba's instead. When I asked the Subway Sandwich guy next door about it he said something about rent and that he was now running Coca Rumba's. I'm sure the rent for that location had to be ridiculously expensive. Another sad sign of the times.

Based on your mention of Subway next doow I'm guessing (hoping) you're not talking about the one in Westport?

Sounds like the one in Mt. Kisco... while I am sad to see a restaurant leave downtown, that was never one of my faves and I'd rather just get takeout from Azteca... I'm just hoping something great (food-wise - please not another bank or nail salon!) will take it's place!

I agree with your assessment, kerryfood ; Villa del Sol was eventually eclipsed by the food at Azteca, which I now consider the best in the area, although the raucous atmosphere at Azteca may not be for everyone.

Maybe to stay in that vein, we can hope Sylvia's might open a branch in that spot; or maybe an aptly named Korean restauarant....

Yes, sorry, should of clarified, the Villa Del Sol in Mt. Kisco. I agree Azteca's food is great and more economical but yeah I agree the atmosphere is quite different than Villa Del Sol's was.
