Tasty in Todos Santos
We are heading to TS tomorrow and would love suggestions on where to eat among the locals. We'll have a car and we're not afraid to use it.
Thanks in advance!

Hope you get on line while you are here. I have lived in TS for eight years. The answer to your question depends entirely on your budget. We can guide you to $2.00 meals or $200 - well maybe not that much but... If you are here on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday you must must must go to Michael's at the Todos Santos Gallery. It is a bit pricey but just fabulous. He has taken over from the Santa Fe. Reservations necessary. We eat often at Miguel's - very affordable - Felipe's in Pescadero - fun on Friday and Saturday when there is music nd the food is good and reasonable- we are headed there tonight. Thursday night steak night at La Canada is a local's gathering. Most taco stands and hot dog stands are good - George's and Baraja's among the favorites. As you first enter town on the right there is a vendor with a whole lot of oranges - right next to him is a taco stand that makes great camarone and pescado tacos - abut 20 pesos each. Breakfast and lunch at La Esquina and coffee all day - another local's hangout. Very affordable and good food at Ataxcon - ask around. Go to the book store and pick up a Calendario - map inside. Avoid Hotel CA - very iffy and avoid Los Adobes at all costs. Let me know if you need more info.

Hi, I was part of all these places you mentioned. What happened to Art and Beer? I used to work for 2 Ricardos when they just opened and the place was well attended by me during the day..it was theee place in Pescadero. Also worked in Galeria Santa Fe before they opened (EZIO). Also worked with the owners of Los Adobes (JUAN) when they just opened. T Santos is a strange place for latinamericans, an american ideal paradise.

Dos Ricardos is now the Sandbar - has been for several years. Quite popular for sports TV. Art and Beer is still there - not a place any local would ever frequent - they are very nasty people. There are many new restaurants and a couple more opening soon. Los Adobes is another place we locals never ever go - strictly for day trippers. Juan and his partners sold it long ago. Lots of Italians living here now and opening restaurants. A couple of new Asian places which is a nice change. There are still enough affordable places that we permanent residents can still eat out occasionally and splurge from time to time. Michael's at the Gallery and Tre Galline are giving Ezio a run for his money.
