Tips for Dining, Eating and Food Shopping in Ontario (including Toronto and Ottawa)

La Cabana or Willow? Or somewhere else for Tex Mex on the Danforth west of Pape?

Not looking for authenticity, not looking for the best Mexican/Tex Mex in Toronto, just looking for mediocre Tex Mex that's on Danforth between Broadview and Pape so I can make it to a show at the Music Hall in good time. I'm concerned El Sol will be too slow.

Good guacamole would be a plus. But not expecting anything sublime.

Has anyone had any good experiences at La Cabana lately? Or Willow? Are there any other places serving Tex Mex on the Danforth west of Pape?

  1. Never been a huge fan of the Willow, prefer La Cabana. Had food and service issues at the one and not the other.

    Other places? Don't think so. Except that burrito place, which I don't think is a suitable venue based on your requirements.

    2. La Cabana is the winner here! Great host and food, warm and friendly and feels like dining with friends, not a restaurant. Ample portions and great homemade guacamole.
