Grapefruit Mentos?

LovelyAsia Mar 31, 2009 06:51 PM

My husband went to China for a Martial Arts tour a couple years ago and got addicted to all the crazy Mentos flavours over there. His favourite being Lime Mint Mentos - which I guess would be like a Mojito!

I actually ordered some different flavours for his birthday from a Hong Kong shop on eBay of all places!

Then recently someone told me they saw Grapefruit Mentos here in Toronto! But when they went back to the same store they didn't have them any more. :(

If anyone sees Grapefruit or Lime Mentos please let me know where. I thought maybe there would be stores in Chinatown or even Markham or Richmond Hill that might sell them but I do not have a clue where to look.

Thanks!

TnT is a good place to start. I haven't look for Mentos but they often have special flavours of candy such as Apple Kit Kat.

    Good luck!

I've definitely seen the grapefruit ones before, probably at T&T.

Thanks wontonfm and tjr - a trip to T&T is definitely in order!

Which location of T&T do you usually go to?

I usually go to the Cherry street location purely as a matter of convenience since I'm TTC-dependent!

Being TTC-dependent myself, I think that location would work best for me. Which bus do you take to get there? Does it come often?

You can take the 72 or 172 I believe (check the TTC site). I can't remember when exactly they run but it's probably about every 15 minutes.

              Good luck!

I can generally find any sort of asian variations of candy at one of the shops in the Pacific Mall -- there are several places there with a good selection.
